At DTO, we specialise in accredited dance education that’s built for today’s schools and students. We’ve been delivering VET Dance in Victoria for over 15 years, and we know what schools need:
✔ Reliable support
✔ Compliant, up-to-date materials
✔ Simple systems
✔ Fast, friendly communication
✔ Confidence that your students are in good hands

“DTO impressed me with their response speed and their thorough resources. The course is so practical because it’s built by teachers who are teaching it and refining it from classroom level.”

Unlike generic RTOs, we are dance education specialists. Our team is made up of dance teachers, curriculum experts, and VET professionals who understand both the creative and compliance sides of delivery.
We take care of the complexity, so you can focus on your students.

“Their up-to-date knowledge of current trends, safe dance practices, and professional standards is thoughtfully embedded into both their resources and the support they provide. This means our students are developing relevant, industry-informed skills that genuinely prepare them for further training or a future in the dance sector.”

“DTO is just what the dance industry needs – providing industry-based education and up-skilling which will allow our industry to grow.”

We’ll support your school to deliver the full VCE VET Dance program through your own qualified teacher, with complete resources, guidance, and ongoing assistance.
“Very organised, quick to respond and helpful.”
“It’s great to have an RTO run by dance teachers who understand both dance studios and the dance industry.”
Enjoy a free CLI Studios membership as part of your package, designed to provide extra support for trainers and students during our initial year.

Partnerships with Secondary Colleges
This option requires your school to have a staff member who is suitably qualified to run the VCE VET Dance program at your school. We are happy to help you find a trainer if needed or link you up with another school to form a cluster group.
VET Dance is a niche subject and often overlooked by schools as a Certificate offered due to low numbers of student enrolments. Dance Training Organisation is pleased to be able to offer partnerships with schools, with any number of students, to enable them to easily include Dance in their subject offerings.

CUA20120 Certificate II in Dance
CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance.
Dance Training Organisation (DTO) (RTO: 45789) has been created to specifically serve dance education. We are committed to delivering a high quality. Vocational Education and Training (VET) Dance program to students, helping support them to transition into the performing arts industry.
The Senior Secondary Pathways reform recommends that ‘students have access to a ‘core offering’ of VET Delivery to Secondary Schools (VDSS) Certificates’ and DTO is contacting schools to offer support in developing local solutions to provide students with access to these core VDSS offering, as VET Dance (Certificate III in Dance) is suggested as an acceptable certificate from the further pathways list.
DTO can help support schools in several ways:
- Implement the VET Dance program on site, providing resources and ongoing support to one of the schools suitably qualified teachers throughout the process or by providing an experienced VET dance teacher to deliver the program.
- Enroll students with an experienced non-school senior secondary provider (e.g. dance studio) in after-hours classes. Enrolment counting towards the students VCE credits.
- Connect schools with one of our current partner secondary schools who run VET subjects through a cluster arrangement.
- A blended learning in person/online program for rural schools.
DTO prides itself on delivering high-quality programs and quality student outcomes. We supply all learning materials and assessment resources to support the delivery of the VCE-VET Dance program, including scored assessment for VCE-VET unit 3 and 4 sequence. We provide students with industry and employer exposure; through training, workshops and lectures with current industry professionals.
The VCE VET Dance program is drawn from a national training package and offers a portable qualification which is recognised throughout Australia.
This qualification provides students with a broad range of skills and knowledge to pursue a career or further training in the live performance industry.
