Leonie Ferguson is a passionate dance educator and studio owner dedicated to excellence in training, confidence-building and fostering a lifelong love of dance.

Beginning her dance journey at just four years of age, Leonie trained extensively in Cecchetti Ballet, completing all examinations from Grade 2 through to Advanced 2. She has also successfully completed her Cecchetti Associate Diploma Parts 1 and 2, reflecting her strong commitment to high standards in classical dance education.

For the past five years, Leonie has proudly led Leonie’s Academy of Dance, creating a supportive and nurturing studio environment where strong technique, artistry and personal growth are at the heart of every class. Under her leadership, the studio was recognised nationally in 2025 as a finalist for the BX Excellence Awards, placing it among the top three dance studios in Australia for its dedication to industry excellence.

Leonie is a qualified Jazz teacher with the Southern Federation of Dance and a qualified VCE VET Dance Teacher, holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. An award-winning performer in both classical and theatrical dance styles, she has also been selected to participate in prestigious programs such as the Cecchetti Victorian Scholars Program.

With extensive teaching experience across ballet, jazz, contemporary and fitness, Leonie is deeply committed to providing a positive, safe and inspiring learning environment. Her approach empowers dancers of all ages to develop strong technique, self-belief and a genuine passion for dance, allowing every student the opportunity to grow, thrive and reach their full potential.
