Our Story

From one passionate studio owner to a national movement — how DTO was born to serve those who give their all to dance.

DTO began with one big belief:
“Dance education can be powerful, professional, and heart-led — all at once.”

Founder Kerrie Power spent over 35 years in the dance world as a teacher, choreographer, studio owner, and mentor. After watching too many talented educators burn out, too many students struggle without the right pathways, and too many studios suffer without systems, she knew something had to change.

So, she created Dance Training Organisation — a place where training is tailored, support is personal, and growth is always possible.

What started as one program has grown into a nationally recognised organisation supporting hundreds of dance educators, studio owners, and students. Whether it’s a school offering VCE VET Dance, a studio scaling with the Studio Business Academy, or an assistant teacher taking their first leadership step — we’re here to walk beside them.
